The Stanfield boys take home the title of District Champions This last Saturday against the Enterprise Outlaws, This means they qualify for the state playoffs!

After a slow start for the Tigers in the first quarter, The score was close in score the whole first half of the game.

But, the third quarter there was a new fire in the Tigers, and they went from scoring 12 in the second quarter to scoring almost double that in the third! Stanfield ended the third quarter with 22 points. They had a good lead in the second half and rode that wave all the way to the end of the game- The final score was 50-64 Tigers.

I think if the Tigers play with the same attitude they did throughout that game—more so the second half—they have a good shot of taking on the teams they play in state.

This Friday, the Stanfield boys will face off against Nestucca at 5:30 home. I think they have a really good chance of winning. With there offense flowing like it did against Enterprise, every team they play will have a hard time defending them.
