Stanfield went against Nyssa this past Friday.
Nyssa has been 4-0 this whole session so far, with Stanfield being 1-0.
Coming into this game, both teams had something to lose.
With the result being
62-40, the Stanfield Tigers came out victorious.
With the score being so close at the beginning, we interviewed some of the players to ask what was happening in the first half of their game.
One player we asked was Daniel Mendez.
How was your guy’s first half of the game?
Daniel Mendez said, “The first half of the game was pretty rough. We struggled against their zone, making small mistakes which led to them getting points in on us.”
What was going through your mind in the first half?
Gabe Mendez said, “I knew it was gonna be one of our toughest games, because they are taller. I was mainly thinking we can’t lose this game, especially this one. I had to work my butt off to do my part so we don’t lose.”
What changed as we went into the second half?
Alex Angle said, “We stopped thinking of what level we can play into this game. And started to play as a team, we stopped pointing fingers at each other and locked in.”
Is there anything else the people of Stanfield should know?
Alex Angle said, “I’m the greatest.”
