The 2025 football season was a challenging one for the Stanfield Tigers. Their journey began on September 5th, when they faced off against the Gaston Grayhounds. Unfortunately, the Tigers were defeated 14-30, marking the start of a difficult season with an early 0-1 record.
In their second game on September 12th, they went up against Clatskanie, but once again, Stanfield couldn’t get the win, losing 12-50, which pushed their record to 0-2. The following week, on September 19th, the Tigers took on Irrigon, but suffered another tough loss, 22-38, making it 0-3.
September 26th brought another defeat, this time against Riverside, with a final score of 14-40, leaving them at 0-4. On October 3rd, Stanfield played Weston-McEwen, and the Tigers were outmatched, falling 0-50, marking their fifth straight loss and putting their record at 0-5.
The losses kept piling up. On October 10th, they faced Heppner, but the Tigers were overwhelmed again, losing 6-74 and dropping to 0-6. A forfeit on October 24th against Grant Union added another loss to the column, pushing their record to 0-7.
Finally, on October 31st, Stanfield closed out the season against Enterprise, and despite their best efforts, they were defeated 6-52, leaving them with a 0-8 record for the season.
It was a tough year for the Tigers, who, despite their dedication, couldn’t manage to break through and secure a win. With an 0-8 record, this season will go down as one of the toughest in Stanfield football history. Hopefully, the team can regroup and bounce back stronger next season.
