Stanfield Vs. Weston McEwen

Last Friday, the Stanfield Tigers faced off against Weston-McEwen. Both teams gave it their all, but Stanfield struggled throughout the game, ultimately falling to Weston with a disappointing 50-0 loss.

Now some interviews with some of the players

Q: Your next game is against Heppner, who are ranked #2 according to OSAA. How do you feel about that matchup?
A: Christian Gachupin said, “It’s going to be a very hard game. We don’t have many players, all we can do is just play hard and hopefully no one gets hurt against Heppner.”

Q #2: You played this game with only ten players. How was that?
A: Christian Gachupin said, “It was tough not having any breaks, but we gave it our all the entire game and that’s what we had to do with 10 players.”

I, Josue Sanchez, also played this game and would like to share my thoughts. It was a tough experience—I was exhausted but I was able to play the whole game. At half time the score was 50-0. I was thinking there was no way we could win this game. I still had hope there wasn’t a lot. I still had hope and we did improve they didn’t score a touchdown the whole of the second half. We also didn’t score either. This game against Heppner is going to be harder were going to have only 9 playing in the game. So now there’s no way I can get a break at all, and I hope everything goes right and we put up a decent fight and I hope no one gets injured.
